Least-cost routing with automatic fallback: each payment goes to the cheapest eligible provider, based on the rates you set. Change a rate or add a provider in the dashboard and routing follows.
Routing decisions made in milliseconds, per transaction
Based on the rates you set for each provider
Add or remove providers without touching your checkout code
How does payFURL choose a provider for each payment?
It compares the rates you have set for each eligible provider and sends the payment to the cheapest one. The decision is made in milliseconds, for every transaction.
Where do the rates come from?
From you. You enter the rates for each provider in the dashboard, and payFURL shows your costs based on those rates, so you can compare providers side by side. You keep your own account with each provider and control your own fees.
What happens if a payment is declined?
When a decline is temporary, payFURL automatically retries the payment through your nominated backup provider, in the same checkout session, with no extra step for your customer.
Do I need to change my checkout to add or remove a provider?
No. Your team integrates once, through a single API. After that, you add or remove providers in the dashboard without touching your checkout code.

Automatic retry in the same checkout session
Retries through your nominated backup provider when a decline is temporary
No customer-facing errors or repeated card entry
When does payFURL retry a payment?
When a decline is temporary. payFURL automatically retries the payment through your nominated backup provider, in the same checkout session.
What does my customer see?
Nothing extra. There are no customer-facing errors and no repeated card entry. The retry happens in the same checkout session, with no extra step for your customer.
How can a stored card be retried through a different provider?
payFURL Vault keeps a vaulted record of the card that isn't tied to one provider. So a temporary decline can be retried automatically through your nominated backup provider using that same stored card, without you or your customer having to do anything.
How does failover work with Smart Routing?
Smart Routing is least-cost routing with automatic fallback. Each payment goes to the cheapest eligible provider, based on the rates you set, and when a decline is temporary, it is retried through your nominated backup provider.

A drop-in checkout that keeps you out of PCI scope.
The card form renders directly from payFURL’s servers inside your page. Card data never touches yours, so your PCI compliance burden stays minimal.

Card data never touches your servers
Your application usually qualifies for the lightest PCI self-assessment (SAQ A)
Where does the card data go?
Straight to payFURL. Raw card data terminates inside payFURL's PCI-scoped environment, never on your server. It is encrypted straight away and stored in payFURL Vault, and you only ever deal with a token.
Which PCI assessment will I need?
Your application usually qualifies for the lightest PCI self-assessment, SAQ A, because card data never touches your servers.
Can the card form match my checkout?

Card details are tokenised the first time a customer pays, then that single token works across every provider connected to your account. No re-collecting card data, no re-certifying PCI scope, no being tied to a single provider.

One token works across every connected provider

What is a payment vault?
A payment vault stores a customer's card details and hands back a token to use in their place. payFURL Vault does that as an additional layer alongside whatever vault your payment provider already runs, not instead of it.
Why use payFURL Vault if my provider already has a vault?
A provider's own token only works with that provider. payFURL's vaulted record isn't tied to one provider, so you can run two providers side by side, fail over automatically, or add a new provider later without re-collecting a single card.
How is a token different from encryption?
Encryption is reversible: anyone with the right key can turn the data back into the card number. A token has no mathematical relationship to the card number it replaces, so it can't be turned back without access to the vault that issued it. payFURL Vault uses both.
Does payFURL Vault reduce my PCI scope?
Usually, yes. Raw card data terminates inside payFURL's PCI-scoped environment, never on your server, so a business using payFURL's hosted checkout can usually attest to SAQ A, the lightest self-assessment.
